Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal recently launched the Progressive Punjab Summit 2016 where he announced a start-up fund of Rs. 100 crores for young and budding entrepreneurs in the region. During the summit, he assured to formulate a special policy and package for the existing industry, which is by the end of November.
The Progressive Punjab Summit came as a big boss for businesses in Punjab as it saw a total investment commitment of Rs. 1.15 lakh crores. This summit brought together the leading business stalwarts from all over the country and around the world together on one platform where they were keen to set up their business in the state.

Kansai Nerolac Paints and Indian Oil Corporation have recently been allotted land in the state for setting up their plants. Both the companies will be investing a total amount of Rs. 365 crores in the state for setting up their plants.
